Math achievement is critical to building strong IT skills and is important for many other business process outsourcing (BPO) activities. Below is a summary of the most comprehensive global educational achievement survey. Similar to reading achievement, North America and Europe have some of the highest math achievement rates. Latin America does not do well with all countries below average and Argentina and Brazil at the bottom. Reading Achievement scores are sourced from the 2006 OECD Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) survey. The PISA survey focuses on achievement of 15 year olds. It is conducted every three years and in 2006, the most recent year, included over 400,000 students in 57 countries. |
