High educational achievement is critical to the long-term success of an outsourcing location. Reading, in particular is critical to all outsourcing activities from IT services to all types of business process outsourcing. Below is a summary of the most comprehensive global educational achievement survey. North America and Europe have some of the highest rates. In Latin America, Chile ranks high, but Brazil and Argentina are at the bottom. Reading Achievement scores are sourced from the 2006 OECD Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) survey. The PISA survey focuses on achievement of 15 year olds. It is conducted every three years and in 2006, the most recent year, included over 400,000 students in 57 countries. |
