Frequently asked questions (FAQs) - Rankings
SourcingLine uses a proprietary ranking algorythim that is constantly adjusted as we recieve new information on providers. Each provider is assigned a unique score for each area of service. The key criteria used in generating rankings are as follows:
- Profile and Portfolio - Provider profiles and portfolios of work are evaluated based on completeness and quality. Providers with higher quality profiles and portfolios rank higher.
- Feedback and References - Providers can collect feedback on SourcingLine and submit references for evaluation. Providers with high quality, verified references and feedback rank higher.
- Focus - Providers that focus in a specific services area will be ranked higher in related directories. e.g. providers that focus on web design will rank higher in the web design directories.
You can improve your company's ranking in a number of ways.
- Profile and portfolio - Ensure your provider profile is 100% complete and you have submitted items to your portfolio.
- Feedback and references - Ask clients to leave feedback on your profile. Also, submit references and we will contact them and publish their feedback. See our subscription services to learn more about reference checks.
- Services focus - Review and update your services focus.Companies with more focus in a specific area will rank higher in those related directories. For example a company with a strong focus on [token global site-focus-eg] will rank higher in directories on [token global site-focus-eg].
