Avasant Signs Deal with Hangzhou Group
With the aim of boosting their ITES/BPO sector, Hangzhou-based service providers have teamed up with California-based firm Avasant, a leading sourcing consulting company.
Hangzhou Association of Sourcing Services singed a memorandum of understanding with Avasant that will provide training services and go-to-market strategy advisory services to aid providers in this Chinese city. The agreement between the Hangzou-based sourcing service providers and Avasant will also help these providers improve their knowledge of the global market.
Mr. Kevin Parikh, CEO of Avasant said in a press release that they are look at a large expansion in Hangzhou which is one of the growing sourcing hubs in China. He added that as a leading sourcing advisory firm, they would carry on with their expansion and investment into the fast developing market of this Chinese city, saying that the MOU signing has also reaffirmed their confidence in the rise of China's ITES/BPO industry.
On the other hand, Dr. Pradeep Mukherji, President of Avasant Asia also expressed his appreciation on the opportunity to do business with Hangzhou. He said that customers could expect to be provided with true values through Avasant's exceptional service offerings and market-based approach.
He added that despite the economic crunch, it has also opened doors for providers in emerging markets and that they have a positive foresight on the ITES/BPO industry in Hangzhou and that they are determined to keep continuing ties with Hangzhou.
The State Council named Hangzhou as among the 20 "service outsourcing base cities" in China. In the past few years, it has gone through rapid growth.
