Polish firms keen to invest in Indian IT, BPO sectors
In a significant development, a number of Poland-based firms have expressed keen interest to invest in the Indian IT and BPO sectors.
A news agency report quotes the vice-president of the Indian-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry Anna Kalata saying that in addition to transferring technology in different industry segments, they are now mulling over investing in the Indian information technology and business process outsourcing sectors. According to the Polish industry official, they believe that the Indian market has tremendous prospects that needed to be utilized profitably.
While Kalata asserted that the number of Polish firms interested in investing in the Indian IT and BPO sectors are increasing by the day, the Polish Counsel General in India, Janusz Bylinski echoed Kalata’s views saying that Polish companies view India as a potential market for making huge investments.
It may be mentioned here that a number of Indian IT and ITeS services vendors, including Infosys, have already established offshore centers in Poland.
