Business process outsourcing company Startek is considering strengthening its workforce by adding over a thousand employees as the American company continues its expansion in its Philippine operations.
Startek’s second facility in this Asian BPO hub was recently inaugurated. This new center can occupy 2,100 seats located in one of the major business districts of the country.
It currently operates in its existing facility in Metro Manila which has 1,000 employees.
Startek’s chief Rod Spires was quoted by Business World as saying that their expansion plans were led by latest business opportunities and new program deals from their current clients, particularly from the telecommunications sector.
Spires added that the company would give opportunities to go through training in the US to choose employees, besides other financial incentives and benefits they offer.
Startek is a BPO services provider with services ranging from sales support, customer care, technical support, and complex order processing, among others. It has 18 operational facilities across North America.
