Tela Sourcing India Awards First Contract to U.K.-based Propalms Inc.

The Indian division of U.S.-based Tela Sourcing, has granted its first order to Propalms Inc. Tela Sourcing is based in Baltimore, Maryland and was founded in 1996 and has had numerous U.S clients since then. Tela now serves over 85 clients in the U.S. healthcare industry and has more than 500 employees. The company processes more than 100,000 claim transactions in a single day, which is the equivalent of 24 million claim transactions per year.

Since 2003, Tela has been providing offshore services via its operational hub in Pune, India. Tela's clients include TPAs, HMOs, other insurance firms, managed care firm and tech vendors in the U.S. In 2007, Tela took over HealthASPex, and added two more onshore processing locations, 35 clients, and offered more services such as electronic PPO routing.

North Yorkshire, U.K.-based Propalms said in a recent press release that it is pleased that Tela will use Propalms TSE to deliver business applications. COO of Propalms, Owen Dukes said that this partnership reveals the technological strength of the firm, when outsourcers like Tel are able to use it as a business platform.
