Wipro Technologies, the third largest IT service vendor from Indian in terms of revenues, has announced its eagerness to develop its outsourcing operations in France keeping in view the fact that this European nation has great development possibilities. In fact, the Indian IT major has already increased its outlay in the area.

Quoting Manish Dugar, Wipro Technologies CFO, a prominent Indian business daily reported that the company has already made fresh investments in setting up a senior leadership team for its operations in France. According to a statement issued by Mr. Dugar in Dubai, Wipro is envisaging outstanding development and is exceedingly certain regarding it future prospects in France. The statement added that company considers the sales prospects of any outsourcing firm to be immense in France.

According to Mr. Durgar, France is a huge market for services that take benefits of the international deliverance standard that is yet to be infiltrated by businesses. Substantiating his company’s decision to expand its operations to France, the Wipro CFO pointed out that a number of the world’s largest and finest conglomerates epitomize France. At the same time, Mr. Dugar added that the French firms are gradually turning out to be increasingly international and universal.

Meanwhile, it may be mentioned here that during the last few years, the French government has set off a chain of initiatives that aim to make doing business in the European nation much easier and more advantageous. In fact, experts are of the view that such extensive reforms have helped to transform balance for the companies presently doing business in France as well as the new venture capitalists. A week ago, Christine Lagarde, the French Minister in-charge of Economy, Employment and Industry, and Michel Mercier, the French Minister in-charge of Rural and Regional Development, had jointly introduced a report on generation of new jobs and fresh foreign investments in the country during 2009.

The report stated that despite the global economic slump and decline in direct foreign investment during the 2009 fiscal, the Invest in France Agency (IFA) along with the French regional development organizations succeeded in drawing 639 employment-generating foreign investment ventures in the country. While this was slightly higher than the 624 such ventures created in 2007 and almost equal (641) to those created in 2008, the French ministers described the 2009 results ranked fourth top during the past 15 years. It is expected that the reforms undertaken by the French government will generate 29,889 jobs during the current fiscal.
