As per the terms of the agreement, Wipro as well as Oracle would provide a warranty management as well as analytics solution that would leverage the Indian tech firm’s profound industry expertise along with Oracle’s Siebel CRM applications to facilitate make the warranty management procedure of the firms more efficient. In turn, this is expected to aid in lessening warranty outlays as well as falsified claims.
An online news report quotes Oracle vice-president (manufacturing industry business unit) John Barcus as saying that approximately four per cent of the warranty claims are sham and this happens to be among the major challenges confronted by the industry in present times.
